All I want for Christmas...

Christmas isn't my favorite time of year for a few reasons. As a kid it was always a blast going to Grandmas house for presents and fun times with all my cousins. Great food enjoyed by all and waiting for Santa in the back room. But after my Grandmother's death in 1976, I just haven't enjoyed Christmas too much.

Every year, I cringe when I see holiday decorations in August hitting the retail floors. As I've gotten older, I see that Christmas really is all about how much money people can spend - on lavish gifts, dinner and cocktail parties. My son is older now so baking cookies for Santa is history. As a matter of fact, my son tells me that he thinks the fantasy of Santa Claus is a cruel joke played on kids. I have to say, I kind of agree!

As we go into Winter Solstice of longer days and shorter nights. I focus on planting seeds for new dreams and lighting candles, setting my intentions on - The 5 Year Plan. I'll ask for the power to be the best that I can be as a mother and friend. For support from the powers above to grow those seeds into my dreams.

As I wind down from an incredibly busy holiday season in the catering and gourmet to go retail business - I have to say one thing.

WHERE'S THE BEACH!

May your life be blessed with all the things in which you believe...

The Power of Pendulums

The power of the pendulum has been valued since ancient times for its ability to discover treasure, seek advice for love, locate something lost and increase intuitive abilities, teaches you how find success in your career, relationships, heal chakras and develop your higher self.

The Pendulum is not a religion but a mere scientific tool that when used with your own religion will embark you on an amazing discovery of your personal journey.

So what is a pendulum anyway? A pendulum is a type of weight that is suspended from a chain or string that is held between the index finger and thumb. The movement of the pendulum indicates energies; either negative or positive. This tool bridges the gap between the left brain that is LOGICAL with the INTUITIVE right brain. It is used to tap into the subconscious and bring light to everyday matters.

Interpreting the movement of the swinging pendulum, takes some skill and you will be able to tune into your intuition, find answers to questions and energy centers in the earth.

The pendulum is basically an amplifier that helps you access the unconscious and your higher self. You can get answers to anything you can come up with and everyone is capable of working with the pendulum however it requires practice and experimentation. You will make mistakes along the way however that is all part of the learning process with learning anything new. Through this process you will develop spiritually and mentally.

Pendulums can be a teardrop, ball, or spiral and can be made from crystal, wood, stone, copper, silver or brass.

Now…Ask anything with a pendulum and it will be answered with a YES or a NO. To determine the movement of the pendulum take a seated position at a desk or a table and place your feet flat on the floor resting your elbow on the table. Now hold the pendulum by the end of the chain between your index finger and your thumb. Make sure that your upper body and back remain straight so the energy can flow freely. Place your other hand on the table flat and relax, let your breath flow calmly. It’s important to note that you should not have any distractions and you shouldn’t do this when you are tired.

Hold the pendulum over the table and ask

What does YES look like?”

What does NO look like?

The turning directions of the pendulum can go up and down or left and right or in a circle clockwise or counter clockwise. You will need to practice this process for at least a week to determine the YES and NO answers. Do not deviate from the answers you have established. This process is called programming your pendulum. The next step is to test the programming.

Ask questions that you already know the answer to so you can determine that the programming is complete and accurate.

There are many uses for a pendulum and techniques that will guide you into better health, life decisions, wealth, chakras, meditations just to name a few. You will need to learn how to use charts to read answers and I strongly recommend getting a book, taking an online course and reading as much as you can before you begin using the pendulum.

Discover how it can be used to help transform our life.

You have to Believe to Receive my Friends...

Ever wonder if what I preach really works? Well just recently I experienced a few moments of belief when I was talking to my mother the other day and she was a really down. She was crying about having a really hard time with some finances and couldn’t see how things would get better. It hurt me to hear her sound so down and in disbelief. I had just gotten off a long shift at work where it was total chaos and I was stressed out from trying to get several catered events out the door all at one time.

When I called her I was expecting to hear her soft voice and knew it would make me feel better. But when she answered the phone she was crying and it kind of freaked me out. I was taken back by the tone in her voice and asked her what was wrong. She said she was feeling so down about things and how her money situation didn’t seem to going in the right direction. She felt so discouraged and was at her wits end.

I remember all too well how hard it is when things aren’t going to well and how that feeling can put you in a place of disbelief. Five years ago it was really hard for me and I felt as if I couldn’t get out of a terrible hole I was in, until I started using the power of positive thinking. After my father was ill and I was trying to get back on my feet after taking care of him and being out of work, I didn’t have a place to live and I had one week to find a home. I had no idea of how it was going to work out and everyone else was worried for me. But I decided at that moment that I didn’t know how it was going to happen, it just was. I got my old job back at the catering company on a fluke and I found the house that ended up being the place that I still live right now. I knew it was only temporary, because I believed.

I mentioned to her that her situation was only temporary and that she needed to create a positive energy source to bring good into her life. Feeling down and sad would only encourage more negativity and that is something she needed to get rid of instead of attract.

She said that they had applied for a credit card and was hoping to get it in the mail to bridge to the finances until some work opened up. One thing that I said to her to was live in the moment and to not look too far into the future with expectations or she would be disappointed. That she needed to take it minute by minute, day by day and something would unfold. We don’t know what is going to happen in the next few hours or the next day. So being upset about it and feeling down doesn’t bring any glory into our lives.

We visited for a few minutes and we hung up. She went by the post office and few minutes later I got a text that read….”We got the credit card!” I sent one back that read “see…”

We didn’t talk for a couple of days and then when we did she was in much better spirits. I asked her how things were going and if she was keeping her head up and staying positive. She said she was and that she really enjoyed talking with me the other day. It made her really think and re-evaluate her emotions.

She also said “Guess what?...You’re not going to believe this! Honey just got a new job and he starts tomorrow!”

Now if that isn’t proof of what of I preach, I don’t know what is…As I say…You have to BELIEVE to RECEIVE. You see – if you don’t put your emotions into a positive place and know that you know that somehow it will all work out then you will never experience the positive power of the laws of attraction.

Try it and see what happens in your life! I bet you will be surprised.

Thanks for stopping by…Blessings my friends…Stormy

Follow Your Intuition...

Ever had a moment where you had a feeling strange feeling about something but you couldn’t put your finger on it? Then later you realized that your gut or inner guidance was trying to tell you something? I call it Gypsy Intuition and it is a powerful tool that we all have but some never truly develop it.

So what is intuition anyway? Well it’s knowing something without any words and having a sense of something without explanation. It often comes to you as thoughts, sensations or feelings that you hardly notice until later. You look back and think “I knew I was supposed to do that” or “I had a bad feeling about that.”

Each of us is intuitive and we receive guidance in a variety of ways. Your emotions speak to you and show you ways to follow our heart. Your mind gives you inspiration for new ideas. It will tell you when something is good or bad for you and you can learn to distinguish these thoughts to make the right decisions. You see your intuition is constantly guiding you into a better place…if you follow it.

Did you know that your intuition is the really the voice of your soul? Think about that for a minute. Your soul is speaking to you and if you listen you will find ways to bring yourself into higher path and purpose. When you follow your intuition you will be free flowing and more energy will be passing through you when you don’t follow it your life will be a struggle.

The first thing you need to do to develop your intuition is to get in touch with your emotions. Feelings are little flags that signal your attention. The next time you have a negative feeling about something or someone, don’t disregard it, dig deeper and try to understand what your intuition is trying to tell you. Things like if you are seeing the wrong person and you gut is telling you so but you continue to ignore it can be very painful in the end. Believe me, I know from experience. Or maybe you should take a certain job or purchase a new home or car. You might not like what you are hearing or you ignore it. Then later find out that you should have followed your intuition saved yourself a lot of pain, bad experience or discomfort.

The next thing to do is to strengthen your intuition. Keep a notebook close to you, and make notes when you have a certain insight and then see if it comes true. Another fun exercise is to make some predictions and see how many you get right. In time you will strengthen that intuition muscle.

Get into a quiet place and center yourself. Follow your breathing, in and out…relax with every breath you take.

Make a connection with your heart and imagine that your heart is directly connected to the truth and trust it.

Then make a connection with something that you are curious about and ask your question. Invite your body to lean in (such as yes I want that). When you pull back that means that it’s not good for you or you don’t want to go there.

Then wait for your intuition to give you a signal and see if you can find the answer. Be patient, it could take few minutes to come through to you depending on your ability to fully process the request. Practice this process and watch how your intuitive abilities grow you and you become happier with the direction you are taking and happiness in your life.

Thank you for stopping by my friend…Have a magical day!

Apache Tears - Grieving Stones

Don’t cry my friend instead seek the healing power of Black Obsidian Stone aka “Apache Tears” a Grief Stone. These stones are very useful, powerful stones that anyone can use. You see, the energy in these stones work within the heart chakra and will assist the emotional body to heal, from old emotional issues. They will bring joy and encourage you to feel more positive about your life. Their energy within the sacral chakra helps to remove any disharmonious energy.

Each gemstone has a purpose and the Apache Tear Drop Stone will bring light that is hidden from the conscious mind. It will dissolve suppressed negative thoughts and patterns and purify them; replacing old negative patterns with new positive attitudes.

Apache Tears are black volcanic glass type crystals (black obsidian) that are small. They are opaque when reflected by the light, but are translucent when held up to the light. Found mostly in Arizona, these stones have been used by many healers.

The positive qualities of these stones are known for bringing good luck to those who carry them and to your business. These stones have strong vibrational energies and they will absorb negativity and cleanse a sacred space.

There is an old saying that one who owns an Apache Tear will never cry again because the Apache woman who grieved and shed their tears for you. The name “Apache Tear” comes from a legend in the 1870’s about the Apaches and the US Cavalry fighting on a mountain overlooking what is now Superior, AZ. The Apaches were facing defeat and were outnumbered, so the Apache Warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their death instead of being killed. When the families heard of the tragedy, their tears turned to stone when they hit the ground.

Since these stones have a superior absorption property, they need to be cleansed periodically by smudging with some sage or leaving them in the light of full moon over night.

This stone is the birthstone of Scorpio and healing stone for all. A great gift for someone you know who is grieving. Something they can carry with them, and put in their hands when they are feeling down.

As always, I hope you enjoyed learning something new and thank you for stopping by…

Many Blessings…

The Power of Gratitude

Just for a minute, imagine that just by taking a few minutes each day to be thankful for all things in your life, no matter how big or small would bring you more terrific things and more of what you want. Would you believe me? I mean, hey it sounds pretty unbelievable don’t you think?

Well, guess what, I’ve tested this process and it works, not only by bringing more positive things in my life but it has brought me more happiness as well. It’s a simple process really, but the most important part of the process is that it has to be truly heartfelt, authentic and all of your emotions must be channeled while showing gratitude.

If you want to try this then all you have to do is start appreciating all of the things in your life, because when you do, you will be applying the energetic law – The Power of Gratitude. You’ve probably heard the phrase, an Attitude of Gratitude before. Well this simply means that when you shift your emotions, attitude and outlook on life with great appreciation for all of the things in your life, then you will experience a shift in energy and when the Law of Attraction takes force, you will begin to see things change. The Law of Attraction is a spiritual journey, a relationship that you have with your conscious self and your higher self.

Ten years ago I was in a very bad place, my marriage was failing, my job up in the air and I was feeling extremely lost. I struggled really hard, there were times we didn’t have food, I couldn’t pay my bills. It’s was really terrible and I felt as if it would never get any better. That constant thought of how much everything was wrong kept it in my life.

Then five years ago, just after my Dad passed away from cancer, I discovered that applying the law of attraction in various forms would jump start the process of my healing. There were several things that I did that made things start falling into place.

One of the first things I did was rediscover my love for drawing. It was a way to express myself and calm my heart. I would draw anything that came to mind. Things that I loved, was grateful for and one very simple drawing was a picture of my Dad’s house at the lake. There was a swing that my Dad built for my son when he was born. It was one of those old time swings with a large rope and wooden seat that hung from a large branch in a beautiful tree that sat next to the house. I would love to go out on that deck, and watch my son swing. Every time he would swing in that swing, I would feel such appreciation for that simple little swing that my dad made for his first grandchild.

My Dad’s house was so peaceful, it was nestled in the woods up on a hill by the lake and he always had a hummingbird feeder near his home. We would all sit out on the deck, cook out and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. It was always so peaceful sitting there watching those hummingbirds come to feed. My son would run over to the swing and play for hours. He would get his little motorcycles out and run them in the dirt acting as if he was racing his dirt bike.

Every time I see a hummingbird, I think of my Dad. Those were some fond memories and ones that I will cherish forever. So when I drew that simple little picture and stuck it in my drawing book, I didn’t realize at the time that when I would pull that picture out and look at it, that it would instantly bring all of those wonderful warm feelings of appreciation back to me for those moments. It instantly brings me back to that time and place.

What I’m trying to say is that when I look at the picture it triggers an authentic emotion of gratification. I always give thanks for that time with my Dad. It’s a simple thing that worked and it started a process of getting my life in order.

Another thing I did and still continue to do is take a minute every time I’m driving to work and from work to give thanks. In the morning I will speak aloud an appreciation for everything from, thank you for getting me up and feeling good, my paycheck to pay for all my bills on time, a nice moment with my son to being thankful for the team of employees that I have in place that help our business run smoothly and successful.

Each day is a new challenge, but we also are giving little rewards throughout the day that we fail to appreciate. Taking the time to acknowledge those things will attract the tremendous power of appreciation – and more of those same things will come into your life.

Even though I have lost my Dad, I found my relationship with my birth Mother. I would have never imagined that after my Dad’s death that I would be rewarded with such a beautiful time with her. We are more like sisters than Mother and Daughter. We didn’t get to experience that type of relationship but we are definitely soul mates. Sometimes we say we are twins because we are so much a like it’s scary.

Today, my life is so much better, I have a wonderful place to live, a fantastic job, great friends and family. I give my thanks to my beautiful mother and sister. We have had a wonderful year reconnecting and I’m so very grateful for this time in my life.

The Power of Gratitude, when done properly will bring more joy into your life...and soul. Try it – not just for today, on Thanksgiving but each and every day.

Be kind to one another and enjoy your day.

Many more blessings…Stormy
